In 2005 I was PhD Visiting Scholar in Social Enterprise at “Centre of Government and Charity Management”, London South Bank University and co-ordinator of “PES” project, a network of social enterprises in the 10th Municipality of Rome. In 2006 and 2007 I worked at “InVerso”, social enterprise incubator in Rome. In 2007 I was co-ordinator of “SLES” Master, Post-graduate course in Local Development and Social Economy. I’m PhD in Public Administration and Management, title of thesis “Creating social entrepreneurs. From civil society movements to social innovation: the role of the social enterprise incubators and centres for social innovation”, at University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, where I also teach “Management of Nonprofit Organizations” (due the lack of faculty library, in 2006 I created at my office a reference library for students in social economy and social innovation). Hence, I’m Wilson Fellow at “Wilson Center for Social Entrepreneurship”, PACE University, New York. While coaching 10 year olds on Roman football pitches, I’m member and coach of Liberi Nantes FC (www.liberinantes.org), sport association totally made up of refugees and forced migrants (the association is supported – free of charge - by the UNHCR). I’m member in Solidarity Finance association (www.finansol.it)and co-editor and admin. of the first blog on social innovation in Italy (linked to the Hub Milano) www.hubmilan.wordpress.com. Finally, I’m the co-founder and board member of the Hub Milano. I will bring my expertise in the development and spreading of social innovation in Italy and assess the viability of starting The Hub Roma www.hubroma.net

We can change not only the way of consuming, but the production processes via social innovation practices. The Hub is the vehicle..
